 Welcome to the Home page of the New York United Nations Lions club.

 

Lions clubs International is a network of 1.3 million men and women in 202 countries and geographical areas around the world.

  The United Nations Lions club of New York,    Chartered on June 24th 2001.    From the inception, the members of the New York United Nations   Lions Club, have used the New Communications Technology and the Internet,   to  communicate with/ work with Lions and  Industry Leaders  around the world. 

 Our club webmaster has compiled  a list of  roughly 500 e-mail addresses,  maintains a  Club website and  a  data bank ..e-mail addresses of Lions and friends from around the world .

.Today   "A wind of change" is sweeping  over Lionism,  Our new International President Mahendra Amarasuriya  issued   "A challenge to change. He stated  "Traditions are wonderful and we absolutely need to hang  on to whatever is working, however, we need to change the way we do things". 

Our mission..... Help  children who  are blind or visually impaired .

 Ingrid Leacock  is a Cable Television Producer in New York city. 

Ingrid has produced several half hour shows  featuring  the work of the Lions. 

Several of the shows contiues to air on MNN Networks and the internet 


 In 1999.

 Lion Ingrid Received  a

 " Top Ten " International Award  from Lions clubs International  recognizing her work in the field of International Relations. (representative of MD-20 , New York , USA
